The Castleman Quartet Program has for over 20 years offered a piano intern summer program whereby young artists, employed or working on advanced academic degrees, are in residence at The State University of New York, Fredonia.

The 2019 dates are June 9 to July 28.  Piano Interns may attend for seven weeks, the first three weeks, or the last four weeks.

Attendance is tuition-free, and room & board is provided, but the position is unsalaried.  Each intern will have a locked practice room with a grand piano for personal practice and afternoon/evening rehearsals.  Many works are learned and most will be performed, coached by the string faculty in the quartet sessions.

APPLICATIONS
Applicants for the Fredonia Piano Intern program should send:
»  a CV (including contact information)
»  a list of all works studied/performed to date, of any size, which collaborate with violin, viola, and/or cello.
»  a 15-20 minute DVD or YouTube of movements/excerpts in 3 contrasting styles.  At least one should be chamber music;  a Sonata is satisfactory.
